Case Study · Luxury Stone & Interiors

20,000 Products, Live on the Page, Searchable in an Instant

Opustone is South Florida’s destination for natural stone, marble and porcelain slabs and tiles, serving designers, architects and homeowners across the region. DSNMRK designed and built opustone.com from the ground up: a content management system the Opustone team updates themselves, and a live inventory platform that puts more than 20,000 luxury stone products on the page with lightning-fast search, favorites and shareable lookbooks.

— The Client

A catalog that changes every day

Opustone stocks one of the largest selections of marble, quartzite, granite, travertine and porcelain in the region, sold by the slab and by the tile. Their buyers are designers and architects specifying materials for high-end residential and commercial projects, and they make decisions on inventory that moves constantly. New lots arrive, slabs sell, and a product that was available this morning may be gone by the afternoon.

For a brand built on curation, the website had to do two things at once: feel like a luxury showroom, and be exactly as accurate as the warehouse floor.

— The Challenge

Too much inventory to manage by hand

  • 1A catalog of more than 20,000 products, with lots arriving and selling constantly, could never be kept accurate through manual updates.
  • 2Designers needed to search by material, color, finish, size and availability and see results instantly, not after a slow page reload.
  • 3The internal team needed to update collections, projects, locations and editorial content themselves, without a developer, on a site that still carried a luxury brand.

— What We Built

A luxury storefront running on live inventory

01

Designed and built from the ground up

A new opustone.com with the pacing of a luxury brand: collections, brand pages, project galleries, locations, appointments and an editorial stone blog, all designed and developed by DSNMRK.

02

A content management system the team owns

Collections, projects, locations, appointment details and blog content are updated by Opustone’s own team in minutes, with no developer in the loop.

03

Live inventory, 20,000+ products deep

The platform pulls a live inventory feed from Opustone’s system and shows it on the site instantly, so availability on the page matches what is actually in the warehouse.

04

Lightning-fast search and filtering

Built on technology that indexes the full catalog for instant results. Designers filter slabs and tiles by material, color, finish, size and availability and see products appear as they type.

05

Favorites and shareable lookbooks

Designers save favorites and assemble them into lookbooks they can share with other designers, vendors and clients: a curated presentation built straight from live inventory.

06

Built around the trade

Product pages, collection pages and appointment booking are designed for how designers and architects actually specify stone, from first search to showroom visit.

— The Outcome

The catalog became the experience

20,000+

Marble, stone and porcelain products live on the site, updated from real inventory

Instant

Search and filter results across the full catalog, with no page reloads

Lookbooks

Favorites and curated lookbooks designers share with vendors and clients

Inventory that’s always right

What a designer sees online is what’s on the floor, so nobody falls in love with a slab that sold yesterday.

Designers self-serve

Search, shortlist and share happens on the site, before the showroom visit, which makes every appointment more productive.

Content the team controls

New collections, projects and articles go live when Opustone decides, not when a developer is free.

A luxury brand, online

The site carries the same curation and detail as the showroom, backed by a product platform that can keep up.

Twenty years of building for brands taught us the catalog is the experience. So we made it fast.
